Former ACMO Dr. B. R. Gautam from Sitapur general constituency, Kripa Shankar Panika from Duddhi (ST) will be AIPF candidates and Yogiraj Patel from Varanasi- 391 Sewapuri will be AIPF supported candidate
Lucknow, January 22, 2022:
Former ACMO and AIPF State President Dr. B. R. Gautam from 146 Sitapur, general constituency and Kripa Shankar Panika from 403 Duddhi (ST) will be AIPF candidates in the Assembly Elections. Along with this, Yogiraj Patel, President of Purvanchal Kisan Union, will be AIPF-supported candidate from 391 Sewapuri assembly seat of Varanasi. In addition to these assembly seats, AIPF will support left and democratic candidates in selected assembly seats. The number of supported candidates, including AIPF candidates, will not exceed ten and the AIPF will join forces with other democratic forces in the campaign to defeat the BJP in the remaining 393 assembly seats.
Sitapur general constituency is the area where the movement for the rights of farmers, dalits, labourers has been going on for a long time under the leadership of Dr. Brij Bihari. Therefore, Dalit activist, social worker and retired Additional Chief Medical Officer Dr. B. R. Gautam is being put as AIPF candidate for fighting elections from here for the dignity of Dalits and the rights of farmers.
AIPF in Duddhi of Sonbhadra has been working for the Tribals, Dalits, women and labourers for a long time. Here our candidate Kripa Shankar Panika will contest the election raising the questions of Forest Rights Act, guaranteeing the rights and respect of women, education and health. Similarly, Yogiraj Patel, who is contesting from Sewapuri in Varanasi, has been active in the farmers' movement. He actively participated in the farmers' movement that lasted for the last 13 months in Varanasi. Yogiraj took many initiatives on the right to health of citizens. Even when the Mandi was closed during the Corona period, he used to buy vegetables and other crops from farmers from dozens of villages and sell them in the market. To strengthen the farmers' movement, he will raise the questions of ensuring legal guarantee of MSP, promotion of cooperative farming and employment of women engaged in cottage and small industries in this assembly election.
AIPF will focus its election campaign on the right to land, employment, education, health in this election. Will expose the economic policies of inflation and corruption to the public. The MSP Act, the withdrawal of the Electricity Amendment Bill, the dismissal and arrest of the Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni, accused of the Lakhimpur farmers massacre during the agitation, further increasing our full participation in the farmers' movement, withdrawing the cases against the farmers, opposing the loot of global capital cum corporate capital, economic nationalism, will be questions of our election campaign.
National President of All India People's Front, S. R. Darapuri, National Vice President of AIPF Shagufta Yasmin and State President Dr. B. R. Gautam spoke. AIPF State General Secretary Dr. Brij Bihari, Sachiv Mandal Member Dinkar Kapoor and Kamlesh Singh Advocate were also present in the press conference.
