All India Peoples Front (Radical) is a mass political platform dedicated to the goal of ushering in a humane society free from exploitation and alienation. It is committed to ending the present exploitative and unjust social and economic order. It envisions the establishment of a people-centric and eco-friendly social and economic system — one inspired by the principles of equality and solidarity, and which ensures a life of dignity for all.

The ruling class has allied itself with the global oligarchy of corporate and speculative finance capital. It is blindly pursuing greater and deeper integration with these global forces, even as the neo-liberal economic order faces its deepest crisis in the very heart of global capitalism.

AIPF (R) believes that the present conjuncture — marked by this sinister collaboration — has rendered the task of striving for its goals more urgent than ever.

The ravages inflicted by two decades of neo-liberal policies on the broad masses have further exacerbated the long-standing deprivation and disparity in society. Small and marginal peasants, landless labourers, craftsmen, workers in the organised, unorganised and informal sectors, women workers, and the so-called ‘self-employed’ have borne the brunt, while a miniscule elite has accumulated wealth and income at an unprecedented scale. The middle classes, once enamoured of neo-liberal policies, are now progressively growing disillusioned and will be compelled by circumstances — sooner rather than later — to decide whose side they stand on: the ruling class or the working people.

To divert attention from the core challenges facing the people, the ruling class is systematically fomenting dissension and division — even engineering conflicts among common people. Another aspect of this cynical project is the instigation of a chauvinistic and jingoistic stance toward important neighbouring countries, which, besides serving as a diversionary tactic, aligns with the strategic design of the global superpower — the home of global capital.

Simultaneously, under the guise of enforcing “law and order,” the space for democratic dissent and mobilisation is being drastically curtailed. Worse still, behind superficial and uncritical slogans like “development” and “governance,” fascistic tendencies are emerging, with encouragement and support from corporate capital intent on acquiring complete control over the state apparatus.

AIPF (R) believes that the need of the hour is to form a broad democratic platform for pursuing Radical and Inclusive Politics — politics that will deepen the democratisation of polity and society; strengthen modern values of equality, secularism, and solidarity; and ensure freedom and dignity for all. Politics that will eradicate the age-old curse of social inequality and injustice. Politics that will confront the challenge of neo-liberalism head-on and reinvent the Idea of India — the idea we have inherited from our long and arduous struggle against colonialism.In a word, we have to redeem our tryst with destiny.

AIPF (R) is committed to this task and wishes to join hands with all like-minded political formations, groups, activists and individuals to further the struggle to move towards the goal.
